Snapchat has introduced a set of lenses on the occasion of Diwali. Snapchat’s Official Lens Makers from the US, Italy , Russia, Lithuania, Morocco and Nepal produced the new lenses. Globally, Snapchat users will begin using the festive lenses.
“The global OLC group has created a variety of experiences that Snapchatters can appreciate anywhere they celebrate Diwali in the world, from lighting a diyas with your finger or picking various Rangoli designs, admiring floating lanterns in the sky and adding some glitter and optimism to your surroundings,” Snapchat said in a statement.
The US-based Allia Goldstein has created ‘Diwali Lanterns’ lens that enhances Diwali decorations with diyas, lanterns and lights. When you lift your eyebrows, the ‘Lighting Up Diwali’ lens by Jimena Depresbiteris features a rangoli style. Then there’s Egidijus Uckuronis, ‘Be the Sun,’ where you are actually the light of this Diwali. ‘ARangoli’ by Steve Snygin lets you select various different coloured rangoli designs and put them anywhere around you.
Similarly, the maker of Snapchat Lens, Karun Shreshtha, has also created a lens where you get three diyas of virtual sun. By looking for them on the app , you can check out these new Snapchat lenses.
In keeping with the festive season, Snapchat has released new sticker sets, philtres and Bitmoji philtres. There are also Diwali inspired cameos and a Snap Map with festive lights. With recipes for festive sweets, Tastemade India has also launched on Explore.
