In India, OnePlus 8T is getting the OxygenOS 188.8.131.52 upgrade, a hot-fix update that addresses bugs created by the previous update. The over-the-air (OTA) hot-fix upgrade to the Oxygen OS optimises call stability, increases the efficiency of system power usage to limit heating, and solves other problems. On Friday, OnePlus said the update would soon be available for smartphones in Europe and North America as well, alongside the India release announcement.
OxygenOS 184.108.40.206 is rolled out to a limited percentage of OnePlus 8T users in India, and within a few days it will have a larger release. As announced on the OnePlus community forum. The mobile upgrade will be available in Europe as the 220.127.116.11.KB05BA version and in North America as the 18.104.22.168.KB05AA version.
Device improvements for the OnePlus 8T include enhanced mis-touch prevention, as per the changelog, which will contribute to a smoother gameplay experience. The user interface can also be improved by inserting toast messages when flipping between the three modes. The problem of the status bar floating on the screen when in landscape mode has been solved, along with the problem of not triggering the NFC under such circumstances.
OxygenOS 22.214.171.124 implements OnePlus 8T camera improvements, including image effect enhancement to provide a smoother shooting experience and increased camera stabilisation.
