Google has begun rolling out a new, multi-coloured symbol for the Google Pay India app. Google has begun rolling out a new, multi-coloured symbol. On Twitter, a Google executive noted that the new symbol is intended to reflect the latest updates that the app has experienced.
Added that symbols continue to change, like goods. For many of its applications and utilities, including Gmail and Google Workspace products, Google has recently launched new icons, a step that has not been too common with consumers.
The latest Google Pay icon has not yet been rolled out for all apps , but will presumably be visible to a larger audience over the next few weeks.
On Twitter, Google Pay executive Caesar Sengupta addressed the latest icon for the service. He said that GPay is much more comprehensive today than when it was released as Tez (in 2017). Users will now pay each other, the seller of vegetables, pay bills, exchange stocks, and even fly virtually across India.
“GPay is basically a substitute for the actual wallet and everything in it for many in India-cash, bills, cards, tickets, etc.,” Sengupta wrote. He noted that the digital payment provider had recently made NFC credit card payments available and had launched the ACE credit card to Axis Bank.
In collaboration with the Indian ecosystem, the new Google Pay icon is intended to reflect these developments, he said, and the evolution of digital payments.
